Deconstructing Kristi Burke's heresies regarding the unpardonable sin

 What is the unpardonable sin? Kristi Burke makes the following assertion with regards to the Unpardonable Sin and I quote: ".Most people would respond and say "blasphemy". But very few people know what blasphemy is. And how does one arrive at such a grave sin? I share my thoughts on this and why I think blasphemy is a cover for what is truly unforgivable in the eyes of the Christian church and its god". But are her claims scripturally verifiable? I will prove to you that her perspective is false and entirely based on a BIASED interpretation of scripture. Continue reading below:

What is the unpardonable sin / unforgivable sin?

Answer

The unpardonable/unforgivable sin or “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” is mentioned in Mark 3:22–30 and Matthew 12:22–32. Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter” (Mark 3:28), but then He gives one exception: “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin” (verse 29).

According to Jesus, the unpardonable or unforgivable sin is unique. It is the one iniquity that will never be forgiven (“never” is the meaning of “either in this age or in the age to come” in Matthew 12:32). The unforgivable sin is blasphemy (“defiant irreverence”) of the Holy Spirit in the context of the Spirit’s work in the world through Christ. In other words, the particular case of blasphemy seen in Matthew 12 and Mark 3 is unique. The guilty party, a group of Pharisees, had witnessed irrefutable evidence that Jesus was working miracles in the power of the Holy Spirit, yet they claimed that He was possessed by the prince of demons, Beelzebul (Matthew 12:24; Mark 3:30).

The Jewish leaders of Jesus’ day committed the unpardonable sin by accusing Jesus Christ (in person, on earth) of being demon-possessed. They had no excuse for such an action. They were not speaking out of ignorance or misunderstanding. The Pharisees knew that Jesus was the Messiah sent by God to save Israel. They knew the prophecies were being fulfilled. They saw Jesus’ wonderful works, and they heard His clear presentation of truth. Yet they deliberately chose to deny the truth and slander the Holy Spirit. Standing before the Light of the World, bathed in His glory, they defiantly closed their eyes and became willfully blind. Jesus pronounced that sin to be unforgivable.

Another unpardonable sin that can be committed against the Holy Spirit today is LYING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT cf Acts 5:1-11.  And the only other unpardonable sin today is that of continued unbelief. There is no pardon for a person who dies in his rejection of Christ. The Holy Spirit is at work in the world, convicting the unsaved of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). If a person resists that conviction and remains unrepentant, then he is choosing hell over heaven. “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6), and the object of faith is Jesus (Acts 16:31). There is no forgiveness for someone who dies without faith in Christ.

 Many people fear they have committed some sin that God cannot or will not forgive (with the exception of the 2 mentioned above), and they feel there is no hope for them, no matter what they do. Satan would like nothing more than to keep people laboring under that misconception. God gives encouragement to the sinner who is convicted of his sin: “Come near to God and he will come near to you” (James 4:8). “Where sin increased, grace increased all the more” (Romans 5:20). And the testimony of Paul is proof positive that God can and will save anyone who comes to Him in faith (1 Timothy 1:12–17). If you are suffering under a load of guilt today, rest assured that you have not committed the unpardonable sin. God is waiting with open arms. Jesus’ promise is that “he is able to save completely those who come to God through him” (Hebrews 7:25). Our Lord will never fail. “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2). God has provided for our salvation in His Son (John 3:16). Forgiveness is found exclusively in Jesus (John 14:6). To reject the only Savior is to be left with no means of salvation; to reject the only pardon is, obviously, unpardonable.

 

Kristi Burke goes on to say that God doesn't want mankind to acquire knowledge. She then goes on to use the Gnostics as a basis to support this fallacy. Who and what were the Gnostics? Below I expose this heretical view by Kristi Burke:

What is Christian Gnosticism? ANSWER 

  There is actually no such thing as Christian Gnosticism, because true Christianity and Gnosticism are mutually exclusive systems of belief. The principles of Gnosticism contradict what it means to be a Christian. Therefore, while some forms of Gnosticism may claim to be Christian, they are in fact decidedly non-Christian.  

 

Gnosticism was perhaps the most dangerous heresy that threatened the early church during the first three centuries. Influenced by such philosophers as Plato, Gnosticism is based on two false premises. First, it espouses a dualism regarding spirit and matter. Gnostics assert that matter is inherently evil and spirit is good. As a result of this presupposition, Gnostics believe anything done in the body, even the grossest sin, has no meaning because real life exists in the spirit realm only. 

 

  Second, Gnostics claim to possess an elevated knowledge, a “higher truth” known only to a certain few. Gnosticism comes from the Greek word gnosis which means “to know.” Gnostics claim to possess a higher knowledge, not from the Bible, but acquired on some mystical higher plane of existence. Gnostics see themselves as a privileged class elevated above everybody else by their higher, deeper knowledge of God. To discredit the idea of any compatibility between Christianity and Gnosticism, one has only to compare their teachings on the main doctrines of the faith. 

 

On the matter of salvation, Gnosticism teaches that salvation is gained through the acquisition of divine knowledge which frees one from the illusions of darkness. Although they claim to follow Jesus Christ and His original teachings, Gnostics contradict Him at every turn. Jesus said nothing about salvation through knowledge, but by faith in Him as Savior from sin. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Furthermore, the salvation Christ offers is free and available to everyone (John 3:16), not just a select few who have acquired a special revelation. Christianity asserts that there is one source of Truth and that is the Bible, the inspired, inerrant Word of the living God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12). It is God’s written revelation to mankind and is never superseded by man’s thoughts, ideas, writings, or visions.

 

 The Gnostics, on the other hand, use a variety of early heretical writings known as the Gnostic gospels, a collection of forgeries claiming to be “lost books of the Bible.” Thankfully, the early church fathers were nearly unanimous in recognizing these Gnostic scrolls as fraudulent forgeries that espouse false doctrines about Jesus Christ, salvation, God, and every other crucial Christian truth. There are countless contradictions between the Gnostic “gospels” and the Bible. Even when the so-called Christian Gnostics quote from the Bible, they rewrite verses and parts of verses to harmonize with their philosophy, a practice that is strictly forbidden and warned against by Scripture (Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19).  

 

The Person of Jesus Christ is another area where Christianity and Gnosticism drastically differ. The Gnostics believe that Jesus’ physical body was not real, but only “seemed” to be physical, and that His spirit descended upon Him at His baptism, but left Him just before His crucifixion. Such views destroy not only the true humanity of Jesus, but also the atonement, for Jesus must not only have been truly God, but also the truly human (and physically real) man who actually suffered and died upon the cross in order to be the acceptable substitutionary sacrifice for sin (Hebrews 2:14-17). The biblical view of Jesus affirms His complete humanity as well as His full deity. 

 

  Gnosticism is based on a mystical, intuitive, subjective, inward, emotional approach to truth which is not new at all. It is very old, going back in some form to the Garden of Eden, where Satan questioned God and the words He spoke and convinced Adam and Eve to reject them and accept a lie. He does the same thing today as he “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). He still calls God and the Bible into question and catches in his web those who are either naïve and scripturally uninformed or who are seeking some personal revelation to make them feel special, unique, and superior to others. Let us follow the Apostle Paul who said to “test everything. Hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21), and this we do by comparing everything to the Word of God, the only Truth.

 

PART II

Kristi Burke encourages her viewers to become involved in science & philosophy as opposed to anything that has to do with God and everything that he represents. But what exactly is the essence of her atheistic philosophy ? Below I  provide a succinct overview of this atheistic philosophy from the book " INSIDE THE ATHEIST MIND" BY AUTHOR ANTHONY DeSTEFANO.

"Atheism is a whole system of beliefs-a system that has it's own philosophy(materialism), morality(relativism), politics(Darwinism), and culture(secularism). It even has it's own sacraments(abortion on demand, infanticide, & euthanasia). And this system of beliefs has been responsible for more death, carnage, persecution, and misery than any other system of beliefs the world has ever known" page 116.

"This same philosophy was espoused by men like Auguste Comte, Ludwig Feuerbach, Karl Marx, Friedrich Nietzsche. Not only did these atheists publicly denounce belief in God, but also shared a white hot hatred of religion and argued forcefully that it was humanity's solemn duty to destroy religious conviction altogether. To oppose this destruction, they claimed, was an act contrary to reason and historical progress. Tolerance was not part of their vocabulary. It was these atheist philophers of the 19th century who laid the ideological foundation for the atheist political leaders of the 20th century. Their intolerance for religion & religious principles set the stage for the bloodliest wars and mass murders ever to take on the stage of human history" page 57.

Men like Friedrich Nietzsche, for examaple understood that with out God there can be no fixed morality. Without a Supreme Being, there can be no Supreme Lawgiver-and hence no supreme law. This was a bold, logical, and honest way of thinking, unlike Hitchens, Dawkins, Harris, and others, the old atheists were not afraid to proclaim it. 

     In his famous atheist treatise, BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL, Nietzsche wrote:

"Severity, violence, slavery, danger in the streets and in the heart, secrecy, stoicism, tempter's art and develry of every kind....everthing wicked, terrible, tyrannical, predatory, and serpentine in man, serves as well for the elevation of the human species as it's opposite....Such kind of men are we, we free spirits....The noble type of man regards himself as a determiner of values....he is a creator of values".

That's what Nietzsche believed atheist should be-free spirits. Spirits who were free to do whatever they wished, once they have thrown off the shackles of religious oppression. In Nietzsche's philosophy, it is permissible to go beyond good and evil. These concepts are merely human inventions. What makes something good or evil is determined solely by whether or not it serves our own personal, practical purposes. That's why Nietzsche urged his followers to become Supermen-individuals who could understand that good and evil are artificial restrictions imposed by religion in order to prevent the strong from dominating the weak. He embraced an atheistic philosophy of social Darwinism that advocated not only survival of the fittest but also survival of the most powerful. And why not? If God doesn't exist, how can there be any kind of objective moral law to protect the weak? pages 87-88.

This lack of moral objectivity explains why there have been so many murderous atheists regimes in the past and present. If an atheist leader with absolute power wants to act cruelly, he has no binding or transcendent reason not to. Without God, objective morality cannot exist. Only God, who transcends society, can say that human beings must act this or that-or else they are breaking a law that is also transcendent. In other words, without a transcendent and Almighty Being, there can be no such thing as a transcendent or unbreakable law.

The bottom line is that an atheist may act in a virtuous manner-but not because he must. Without God, moral precepts are simply personal codes of conduct. They are tastes or opinions-and not objective imperatives that are morally binding on all people (page 89).

Their reasoning if you can call it that, is made up almost exclusively of logical fallacies. They write books of scathing attacks on God and religion that in the end prove absolutely nothing because their arguments are the most flaimsy and shallow kind imaginable. And the most flimsiest and shallowest arguments of them all is something called the strawman argument. Atheist love this type of argument and use it all the time(when you got them backed up between a rock & hard place).

The Absurdity Of Claiming To Be An Atheist

       I have a classic book in front of me published in the year 1868, titled “GOD IN HISTORY and GOD IN SCIENCE,” authored by London Pastor John Cumming (1807-1881).^[1] May I say kindly, there's no such thing as an atheist! Some of the world's wealthiest celebrities have the stench of Hell on them, which is where they are all going, blaspheming the very God Who is kind to them. Luke 6:35b, “...for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”

Legendary singer Billy Joel is a professed atheist...

“I gradually decided that just because I didn't have or couldn't find the ultimate answer didn't mean I was going to buy the religious fairytale. As an atheist you have to rationalize things.” —Billy Joel

On page 139 of his book, “GOD IN HISTORY and GOD IN SCIENCE,” Pastor John Cumming makes a brilliant observation concerning professed atheists...

Atheism is folly as much as wickedness. But suffer me, before I show this, to say, that it is absolutely impossible that any man can be an atheist, in the strict sense of that word. All that any can say is this: “No spot that I have searched does reveal a God; every organization I have examined does not show traces of wisdom, goodness, and design:” but that individual cannot say; “There is no God;” because he cannot say, “I have soared to the farthest star, I have descended to the deepest mines, I have swept all space, and searched all time, and in the realms of infinite space I have not detected any traces of a God.” In other words, to be able to say, “There is no God,” you must yourself assume to be God, which is a reductio ad absurdum, an utter and a complete absurdity.

What a brilliant observation. How can any man claim to be an atheist unless he has traveled to the farthest place in the universe? The nearest star to the earth (after our own sun) is Alpha Centauri, which is 4.37 light-years away (28,200,000,000,000 miles away!). This is just one star, being the closest to earth besides our own sun, which is 93,000,000,000 miles away. My friend, the Hubble Space Telescope has discovered that there are at least 200,000,000,000 galaxies in the universe. And each of those galaxies contains BILLIONS of stars! It is anticipated that when the James Webb Telescope is launched in 2018 from NASA, that it will discover over ONE TRILLION GALAXIES!!!

The Word of God teaches that God made the stars. I love how Genesis 1:16 is written... “HE MADE THE STARS ALSO.” It's like the Bible is saying, “Oh, by the way, God also made all the stars!” Genesis 1:16, “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.” God is amazing, Who knows the exact number of stars that He created, and he calls them each by their own name. Amen! Psalms 147:4, “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.” I have just briefly discussed the stars. The world that exists under a microscope is even more amazing, complex and a mystery to mankind. How can anyone reasonably claim to be an atheist when man hasn't even discovered what's in 90% of the earth's oceans? Pastor John Cumming is so right... For anyone to say, “There is no God!,” you must yourself assume to be God! No human being has traveled to the ends of the universe. In fact, no human being has ever even left the Milky Way Solar System. Psalms 145:3, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”

 The Cruel Absurdity Of Atheism And Communism

It is absurd for anyone to claim to be an atheist, when no man has ever left our solar system. It is absurd for anyone to claim to be an atheist, when no man has ever traveled through all time and space. It is absurd for anyone to claim to be an atheist, when no man has ever successfully explained the origin of the universe without God. And it is equally as absurd for anyone to think that a government and society devoid of faith in God can produce happy, thriving, prosperous, law-abiding citizens. Just as Americans are dwindling in their faith in the holy God of the inspired Bible, so also are they dwindling in prosperity. Every nation in history that obeyed God's Word achieved some degree of prosperity and happiness; whereas atheist Communist societies, like China under Mao, and Russia under Stalin, afflicted and abused its people miserably (and untold tens-of-millions died a cruel death).

Atheism and Communism have overtaken America! Although most people would deny being an atheist, they've lost their faith in God and are looking to the government to take care of them. Churches are being persecuted for going door-to-door soul-winning, being threatened by police with arrest and imprisonment. This is the work of the Devil. Jesus foretold that the time would come when the world will kill Christians, thinking they're doing God a favor. John 16:2, “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” These times have already come during the early Roman Empire, the inquisition, the Dark Ages, and are happening in numerous parts of the world today. As the New World Order develops, Christians will be martyred for their faith. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Introduction

Atheism, an ideology that is rooted in the demonic and controlled by Satan, is presently, methodically, destroying America’s Constitutional Republic under the auspices of Progressive-Socialism i.e. the Progressive-Socialist-Democrat Party. Atheism and the death of America.

 

1) The Atheist is an enemy of the Lord Jesus Christ and they serve His most prolific adversary, Satan, by default. Atheism is actually a facade, a futile exercise in self-deception, why and how? Every man and every woman, having attained an age of reason, intuitively knows that our Creator exists and they intuitively know by what has been made in Nature e.g. the origin of matter – the Universe down to the complexity of the human genome; it is these supernatural forms of preliminary empirical evidence which clearly testify to the Truth that our Creator has dominion over the Universe, Time, Life, Death and Eternity; therefore, the Atheist is “without excuse.” For all intents and purposes, there is no difference between the loyalty of the Atheist and the Satanist, both serve Satan and both seek death in sin and death in Hell in futility. 2) The Atheist is a most ardent enemy of America because as Satan’s emissary in Time, the atheist espouses an ideology that demonically, radically, seeks the mutilation of America’s posterity in the womb. It is the father of Atheism, Satan, that has successfully established dominion in the abortion industry in America via Roe v. Wade (1973) and it is the shedding of innocent blood that has brought the judgment and wrath of our God upon this Nation; therefore, the atheist and their rebellious ideology plays a strategic role in the unconscionable act of abortion on demand resulting in God’s wrath and judgment upon the United States. (Proverbs 6:17; Deuteronomy 28:15-68)

 

3) The Atheist supports a demonically-based ideology that seeks to destroy the Biblical Family Unit through legitimization of sexual perversion affirmed by Obergefell v. Hodges (2015) “Same Sex Marriage” that is destroying our posterity through LGBTQ confusion, suicide, while this unconscionable immorality directly attacks and undermines middle-and-lower-class-America’s sustainability. Without a dad and a mom at home, raising their children in the knowledge and respect of our Lord Jesus Christ, America’s Constitutional Republic cannot be sustained! The Biblical family unit is the bedrock of America’s sustainability.

 

4) The Atheist radically espouse the most prolific deception to have ever been thrust upon the mind of mankind i.e. Darwinian Evolutionary Theory which has been forcibly infused into the minds of many millions of American youth subsequent to the early 1960’s. Darwinian Evolutionary Theory, in conjunction with socialistic historical revisionism, has resulted in morphing America’s posterity into radicalized atheistic socialists. Evolution is a most efficient promulgator of Atheism and this demonic hoax has been incredibly successful in destroying the faith, the self-worth, the hope, future and eternity of many millions of American youth, many of whom are now Millennial’s and Gen-Z young adults entering America’s workforce, America’s Government and unfortunately, the voting booth. It is atheistic evolution that has initiated, under girded, supported and continues to promulgate America’s ever-increasing culture of death and hopelessness.

 

5) It is the Atheist that provides unwavering support for the destructive Progressive-Socialist agenda of “open borders” giving way to unencumbered non-assimilating multiculturalism that will destroy America’s economy, America’s National identity, but more importantly, open borders endanger the lives of the American people and stymies the first duty of Government i.e. protection.

 

6) It is the Atheist that blindly serves and radically espouses the Globalist-Socialist HOAX of “man-induced climate change.” A socialistic-strategy aimed at subtly acquiring Globalist-Socialist control over every means of production-distribution of goods and services throughout the World. A demonically-based initiative that will destroy the economy of the United States when mindless, power-hungry, Progressive-Socialists capture the Executive-Legislative-Judicial Branches of Government.

 

7) The Atheist supports the demonic ideology of Leninism-socialism/Marxist-communism that will destroy America’s Constitutional Republic and create an economic-sociological environment directly responsible for the death of 100-million people in the last 100-years.

 

8) It is the Atheist that represents a mindset, a demonic religion i.e. Atheism; a secularist, naturalist, morally relativistic ideology that is the antithesis of the faith and allegiance to God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, necessary for the sustainability of America’s Constitutional Republic.

 

9) It is the Atheist who is Satan’s representative within the Realm of Time and they represent that growing segment of America’s population that offends our Creator as they espouse those aberrant behaviors that have distanced Him from America’s protection/provision that only our Creator, Jesus Christ, can provide.

 

In conclusion…

10) It is the Atheist that is representative of evil in the Land of America and as long as Satan’s emissaries via an atheistic ideology are tolerated in our society and in our Government, the American people will suffer the wrath of our God in our apostasy/unfaithfulness. Most tragically, it is America’s posterity that will suffer horrifically because “men” of the twentieth-and-twenty-first-Century did nothing to stop the demonization of American Culture by radical Atheists, Globalists, Progressive-Socialists, Islamist’.

America is reaping what She has sown (Galatians 6:7).
